This is a tight, exciting anniversary issue where there isn't a page of wasted space. There aren't as many iconic Flash creative teams as other properties (partially due to Mark Waid being gone from DC and unlikely to return), but the teams they chose all deliver an excellent tribute to the Flash and his network of speed-powered heroes. The final story is a Flash Forward epilogue that will find Wally West in the Mobius Chair witnessing every crisis and event in the DC Universe unfold before him. As he sees the past and present laid out, he can see where things have changed and converged. This prompts him to find Tempus Fuginaut to begin a mission to set things right. The Flash takes a gigantic issue to catch up new readers and we have gotten a renumbering for the book. While this may be good for the book as a whole, the writers dropped certain storylines in order for things to go back to a more traditional Flash set up and readers that have been with this book since the beginning may be upset to drop a large amount of money on a giant issue where the main issue inside doesn't really move the story forward. Overall, this wasn't horrible but I just found it incredibly dull. Read Full Review

Aside from the short story on Captain Cold, this 750th issue of the Flash is lacking in any value. I hate to say it, but The Flash is dying as a series, despite its fairly successful TV show -- and it's all a product of DC's inability to keep their own universe straight. Almost none of these stories offer anything new to the greater universe for the Flash, and even their new supervillain gets sidelined in favor of boring comic book tropes. Read Full Review

Unlike many of the recent 80 page giants that have come out of DC, this one had heart, wasn't disjointed, felt special, and was NOT a money grab. I wish the 1,000th issue of Detective Comics would have been like this, though #999 was great. You won't regret picking this up.

Prelude: It's basically an anthology issue here at Flash #750. Let's see how these creators go. The Good: A good start off for "The Flash Age". I'm interested in seeing where this goes. LOVED "Beer Run". Absolutely great story about Captain Cold. "Why You" was also a cool story. "At the Starting Line" was similarly a good story and some of the new timeline. I really liked "Flash Forward: Epilogue" and can't wait to see where things go from there. The Bad: Man, I really didn't like Wolfman's story. Conclusion: Asides from one story, I loved this issue. A great celebration of the Flash, albeit slightly brief.

"No more emo Barry" If the prelude in #88 and this issue are any indications The Flash Age might be a fun story arc. Paradox might prove to be an entertaining villain, although his look is a tad generic, and with Godspeed back things definitely will not be boring. Of course, because of the damn solicitations, that I won't read ever again, I know where things are going for him. Why solicitations have to spoil things, huh? The epilogue for Flash Forward was also quite enjoyable and will lead directly to those Generation one-shots. I hope this whole initiative will work, I really do. I'm worried that if it doesn't DC might go bye-bye. And that would be just wrong. As for the rest of the stories. None of them really stood out much. All of them were good and had nice stories, but didn't leave any lasting impression. The only one that was slightly above the rest was the one with Jay Garrick, but only because of the phenomenal art. Thanks to Marquez and Sanchez "At the starting line..." has hands down the best pages in the issue. more

Ugh another step down after WW anniversary issue. At least we got 2 stories with Wally. It's telling something when the bad guy speech is somerhing i agree with. Flash forward also sucked, hat does it mean. Jay story was fine, Wolfman was meh.

Man that first story really wanted to be Spectacular Spider-Man 310. The rest of it... was okay. Some better than others.
