Comics: The Gathering - Hussein Wasiti

In a claim I'm not afraid to make, this is the best issue of the series. When Tynion is good, he's really good, and everything shines here, from the dialogue, to the humour, to the art, despite some inking and colouring inconsistencies I found troublesome. Tynion is building up to something special, so get on board. Read Full Review

Comic Book Corps - Justin Swenson

The ReviewI am overjoyed with how the return of Tim Drake is coming along and I really like how we got him back in a very direct way. There was no lollygagging around for 10 issues before we got him. Over the past three issues we dived straight back into the world of Tim Drake and I wouldnt have it any other way and no better writer to give it to us than James Tynion IV. He is one heck of a writer. The narration of his work and the character dialogue fits so well together and is perfectly believable. The art is incredible as well. Martinez draws a killer book and the colors are perfect. The whole issue is filled with dark tones and shadows as expected from Detective Comics. But there are a few warm colored panels stuck in here and there when Tim is reuniting with his team. I love that because it lets us know that yeah Tim is back, and this is good, but were not out of the woods yet. Pick up this issue, it is excellent and definitely one I want in my collection. Detective Comics has been a smashing success since the beginning of Rebirth, and this arc adds to the Rebirth lore quite a bit; especially since the reveal of Conner last issue which could mean a return of the fan favorite character. Anybody that is a fan of all of the cast should keep an eye on these pages for further developments! Read Full Review

    IGN - Blair Marnell

This issue finally brings Tim Drake back into the orbit of his extended Bat-family, and that's just a joy to watch. It still doesn't make much sense to tie that into the ridiculous Mr. Oz storyline, but Tim's return makes the team feel more complete. Read Full Review

    Batman-News - Brandon Mulholand

I seriously wish I could give this issue more of a standing ovation, because it has some truly great moments. But alongside those come two major headscratchers that I simply couldn't overlook. But aside from those, it's a super solid issue. Absolutely amazing art, gut-wrenchingly emotional scenes, and wonderfully portrayed characters. The good stuff was so good that I still feel confident in recommending this…even with the questionable moments included. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez

    Oct 28, 2017

Detective Comics #967 nailed the chaotic situation this future version of Tim Drake as Batman has created by coming to the present. His interaction with the Batman Family highlighted how fascinating the character is. At the same time, it shined a spotlight on what the actual future Tim and the Batman Family will be if they all make it out of this story together. Read Full Review
