Ram V does a good job giving loyal Catwoman readers some developments while tying into the Fear State Event.  I think the most interesting thing in Fear State so far happens in this issue, and that, combined with the cliffhanger, has me excited for the next issue.  Read Full Review

So, when all is said and done, Catwoman #35 manages to shift its gears to face the oncomingFear State storyline admirably. As Alleytown rallies to expel the newest menace, searching to oppress them, it will be interesting to see what hurdles the creative team will throw at them before they reach their goal. Catwoman #35 does an excellent job integrating the series into the Fear State event. Ram V is able to address recent events and how that impacts the way we see Selina Kyle approach what is going on in Gotham City. Seeing as the Poison Ivy storyline will be something that this series will be addressing I recommend those reading the main Fear State story also pick up the Catwoman tie-ins. Read Full Review

Catwoman #35 is a perfectly adequate tie-in issue that mostly manages to balance its obligations to Fear State, while still wrapping up some character arcs of the main series. The pieces are all here, the art is solid, the script keeps a fast pace, but by the end the hindrances of Fear State creep into view. I have no doubt the series will fall right back into place once this event comes to a close, but the conundrum some face is that there's just enough here to keep the issue relevant to longtime readers. Catwoman #35 feels like the crossbow string being pulled back before many arrows fly at our hero, though I personally think that the building of tension is largely unnecessary at this point. Blood's been drawn from the heroes' side, so we should see Catwoman going to war, not checking in on the whereabouts of another character who's only been seen once before. That said, the stunning visuals and the hope of a wider mystery still pull me back in. Read Full Review

One gets the impression that Ram V might have been able to do a bit more outside the oppressive weight of a massive crossover event thats come to infect all of the titles lorded over by Catwomans boyfriend. She really should be a bit more oriented towards the center of her own title. Still, editorial concerns are always going to draw everything into the massive orbit of a planned crossover event. If Ram V had just a bit more control, maybe even the narration would be a little better and not, ...getting too close without burning up... Ugh. Read Full Review

This was a good issue, but I can't help but feel like it's just going to be a less engaging version of the b-plot in Batman, which already isn't very engaging. We'll see, though.
