All the pieces have been set up as all roads have been leading here, Catwoman and her allies and the forces of the Magistrate are clashing with the fate of Alley Town at stake. One of the best definitive runs that Selina Kyle has ever had is going strong as the finish line is very nearly in sight, promising to finish strong and continue to make a mark on this character and the DC Universe. Ram V has managed some interesting developments in and around the edges of the Fear State crossover. Its too bad that everything is moving at a pacing that makes it difficult to connect with emotionally. Ram V is clearly capable of delivering a more thoughtful sort of action. The pacing of Fear State doesnt seem to allow him much range, though. Read Full Review

Catwoman #36 is a well done tie-in issue that doesn't lose sight of its characters and the core themes of the series itself. While the actual narrative doesn't ramp up the tension as much as I would have wanted, the character interactions are delightful as always and the book leaves the reader feeling optimistic for Selina and Alleytown's future. This issue feels lighter than the grimness that came before, but fans of the series or those interested in Fear State will find much to enjoy here. Read Full Review

Catwoman #36 continues to bring the tension, as we're made to think of all the struggles our hero has to struggle. The large cast easily dazzles us, and we're excited to see so many fan-favorite characters fill the pages. There's no sign of anything being resolved soon, which makes the mounting tension all the more nerve-wracking for when it culminates. Solid issue, and nothing much more than that. Wight Witch continues to fascinate me, and I’m looking forward to her story in Batman: Urban Legends soon. Inching closer to Ram V’s exit on Catwoman surely disappoints me, but what really makes matters worse is the fact that he closing his run off with Fear State. I really hope to have a strong conclusion from him, without the Tynion fingerprints all over.

This is really jumbled, but still okay. I really don't think Fear State is doing anything for this book, especially since Ram V is leaving very soon anyway.
