All well said. Question - why is Selina staying in this city/country? Why not take Maggie out? Why was Maggie there? What is Selina's long-term goal? Does she want to take Creek out? Does she regret fighting Creel? We should have a sense of all this by issue 18. We don't. Or I could be wrong, but keep up the good work.
Catwoman #19
| Writer | Joelle Jones |
| Artist | Stefano Martino, Cliff Richards, Rafa Sandoval |
| Cover Price | $3.99 |
The fight between Catwoman and Raina Creel turns personal, as the Creel goons descend on the pawn shop. Their target? Catwoman's right-hand man, Carlos. If your opponent has better weapons than you, it makes sense to take out the supplier. Especially when you have a new enforcer coming into town to put the hammer down.

GWW - Deron Generally
Jan 08, 2020All of the artists add some great work to the issue. The story is fast paced and filled with action. That action is captured brilliantly in the art which moves and complements the story well. Read Full Review

Forces Of Geek - Lenny Schwartz
Jan 08, 2020The art is a little strange. There are three artists working on this title so it is a tad jumbled. It only brings the issue down a little bit though. The story is very good and it shines through. Read Full Review

Jan 14, 2020If you have been following Catwoman in her Batman adventures lately, you know she is now at Bruce's side. This emotional farewell from Carlos and Selina's sister can either make this break easy or it can pull her away from Bruce. Not to mention that Raina Creel is a formidable foe now with the possession of Lazarus Water from a Lazarus Pit. Outstanding job on Catwoman #19, Ms. Jones! Read Full Review

Dark Knight News - Adam Ray
Jan 08, 2020Catwoman #19 teases the enigma of what's to come. Creel's motives are unclear, and hard to trust. A villain keeps us on edge and is easy to fear. Only time will tell what she still has in store. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Jan 08, 2020Its a promising psychological turn for the title character. Some of the art in the book is very, very good. Some moments feel very poetic. Given a more choppy narrative, the multiple artist approach could have worked. A lack of consistency, though, doesnt really set well with the overall thrust of the story. Read Full Review

Jan 08, 2020Joelle Jones has had some highlights in this run, but overall it hasn't quite lived up to the promise of her past work with a lot of fill-ins and a plot that tends to drag. Read Full Review

The Batman Universe - Theodis Wright
Jan 09, 2020One continuing question I will always have as I'm assigned this title is how much juice it has left in it. Most of the Bat-books are in sync with the greater Batman Universe and specifically life post-City of Bane. At some point, Selina Kyle needs to finish her business with Villa Hermosa and come home. Weird Science - Jim Werner
Jan 08, 2020While there is a huge moment in this issue and even some good, smaller ones between Carlos and Selina, this book continues to be stuck in neutral. I really hope that we get something past the Raina Creel story and it's not just being padded out until the book ends. Read Full Review

Jan 08, 2020Catwoman #19 shows why having a consistent art team is paramount to a successful book. With three different styles fighting against, rather than enriching, each other, Jones' script needed to provide a solid base to weather the storm. Unfortunately, Jones' script loses its grip between balancing the nuanced character work she brings to Selina and the sudden shift in stakes and tone that accompanies a zombie invasion subplot.
