It's strange on how much better and cohesive this story was compared to H2SH. While this was not on the same level as The Last Halloween and Dark Victory, this was still a very solid and strong conclusion to the trilogy. The rotating artists did not bother me, even with Batman being meaner, it didn't bother me as much. Jeph Loeb clearly showed that he enjoyed and really wanted to write this story well. And shout out to Tim Sale as well

Dud of a final issue. Still don’t fully understand the plot. This series had some amazing art and fabulous and cool individual moments but Loeb was unable to weave it into a well written and cohesive story

I'm left scratching my head overall. What even was this story? Was it needed? I don't think so. At least it was a nice shout-out to Tim Sale. I've enjoyed the different artists' takes in each issue. I really like Matteo Scalera's art in this final issue. It's worth reading the interview with him at the end. For me, this series has been all about the art. Unfortunately I think Jeph Loeb should have stayed away and enjoyed his legacy with classics like Long Halloween, Haunted Knight and Dark Victory. As a story, Hush is overrated in my humble opinion. And can we all just forget Hush2 is/was even a thing?! I wonder how this will read in one go? I don't think I will be re-reading it though. If I want some Batman Halloween action I will st ick with the original Long Halloween and the Haunted Knight shorts. more
