World's Finest #25 is a lot of fun. Waid's one-and-done story is both interesting and entertaining, as he allows the villains to take center stage for once. Pugh and Mora are an excellent team-up, producing some wonderfully fun and at times even terrifying visuals for this issue. Overall, the book is a win. Read Full Review

Pugh delivers some beautiful art in the issue. The issue focuses on the interactions between Luthor and Joker so all of the visuals do a fantastic job of showcasing the emotions of the moments between them including the tension and hatred. Their pairing is one that shows why having chemistry is not always a good thing. The type of chemistry Lex and Joker share is one where you know that this pairing is doomed to fail, as it does in this story. The debut of Batman and Superman's most iconic villains in what is usually one of the best DC titles is sadly a bit of a disappointment. With Superman and Batman largely absent, the story relies on Joker and Lex to carry it, but they're given very little to do as they follow a treasure map from one scene to the next. There are moments where their personalities shine through, but they are too few and aren't what drive the story. The backup offers an exciting glimpse of the upcoming arc, which hopefully looks to be a return to form for the series. Read Full Review

Batman/ Superman: Worlds Finest #25 is a nice spiritual follow-up to issues #18 and #19 wherein we see one of their enemies first meetings. Its no grand spectacle, but it has been a while since weve had a Lex Luthor and Joker adventure even if it is just breaking into a heros hideout. Read Full Review

This was an excellent palate cleanser after the heaviness of the previous arc and the goofiness of the fifth dimension that we’re about to get into. The Luthor/Joker story wasn’t one of the best we’ve seen in the story, but I thought it was a lot of fun seeing them interact with one another, and Waid gave them both a couple of excellent monologues. The Impossible Prologue was phenomenal and has me very excited for the next arc.

Ok I laughed out loud when Joker came out of the bathroom and Luthors 'w..t..f' face. Was great. Wish Mora would have drawn that story though. Art was good but not great. So Aaron did a bit about the Joker being insane and did a monologue on that. It was boring. Here Waid does a Monologue of what the Jokers mind looks like to Luthor and its amazing. The fear and madness leaps off the page. Luthor saves everyone from a Joker world of unspeakable horror. I enjoyed it. A great first time meeting story. As for the backup. The fight was great, and the art was great. I am just not a bat-mite person so I dont know how excited I will get with this next story. Oh well.

It's good, but not the oversized issue I hoped it would be and more of a annual that teases what is to come. Everything we get is solid (as always from Waid), but a bit of disappointing.

Very entertaining, if a bit disappointing that Mora only does the second story. Waid writes a great Joker, and he and Pugh have a lot of fun with the Rock of Eternity.

I weirdly wasn't super into this one. The Lex/Joker story really didn't do anything for me because it didn't really mean anything. It felt like something that would fit into an annual which oddly enough I had criticized because those stories felt completely separate from the main arcs but Lex and Joker at least are related in mirroring the heroes and would fit in the annual fine. Taking that story out leaves the little we had of the upcoming 5th Dimension tease which we already got a tease for so this issue, while entertaining just felt like ANOTHER annual. Fine overall but feels like a waste for the 25th special.
