Sherman and the art team construct impressive images to guide readers through this twisted tale. Its another fantastic look at the Dark Knights early days that readers wont want to miss. This is a surprisingly moving and compelling last installment of what I had previously called a weaker chapter of this title. "The Voice of the Tower" has been an ambitious story by Watters & co. Maybe too ambitious because it took me a couple of reads to follow everything. There are some really good ideas in here, but it feels like they rushed the ending and so didn't stick the landing in a satisfying way. It all looks very good though, so credit to the art team. Probably one of my favorite modern Batman detective stories. Which isn't saying much, but I plan to buy the complete edition. Also, I love Hayden Sherman's art, and how Batman has to use his detective brain to piece together the clues instead of fighting outrageous crazy building busters.

I'm a sucker for Scarface so I've been optimistically hoping Waters would have a satisfying ending but this issue was very clunky and didn't deliver just like the end of the last arc.

This arc was ok, but not great. I did like how the problem Wesker faced from last issue was resolved, even if it seemed a bit forced. The revelations of this new character getting the upper hand on Wesker felt pretty forced as well. Overall, the first arc of this series was way better! Both in story as well as art/page layout. Plus Batman spent this entire arc always one to two steps behind. He was pretty much just "there". Hopefully the next arc will be better than this one. This one really ended on a thud.
