Batman and Robin #23 was awesome. Simply put. I was intrigued throughout as the foundation that Phillip Kennedy Johnson laid out in all the previous issues is really paying off as we reach the finale. I still think that this arc will read better all at once compared to reading it monthly, but I'm left wanting more as the issue ends on a big cliffhanger. Hopefully the next issue sticks the landing after all this time, and I think that it will. I can't wait! Read Full Review

So all things considered, for the issue itself, I have to confess I did enjoy it, and overall the story is getting better, redeeming itself slightly from the unfortunate foundation it started from. Read Full Review

Overall this arc could have been tighter and more consistent. And Damian at times has seemed out of character. But this is a great issue. And better than anything we’ve seen in the main Batman title in a long time. Looking forward to the finale.

This was a satisfying conclusion to the story. But I definitely feel it overstate it’s welcome. I’m just glad that it finally concluded. There were some decent moments for both Batman as well as Robin in this issue. I don’t really love this series as much as I used to, but it’s still worth continuing to collect. So I must admit up until this point I was buying more than one copy of each single issue just to support the series. Not to say that this is a terrible series but it’s just not something that I feel I need to put on such high pedestal. All that being said, I will still continue buying this and single issue form as well as when the trade paperback comes out. It’s definitely decent. It’s just not amazing.

Thank God Johnson saw the writing on the world. If he didn't close it up next issue, I was going to drop the title. I'm so tired of Momento. I really thought that girl detective was secretly Momento, that would have been a good twist. This is Robin fighting alongside the Lost Boys that have a stupid name. I definitely don’t think this Memento story was going to continue after this. Most stories these days seem to be written for the trade. And by average most treat, paperbacks seem to collect 5 to 6 comic issues. But rather than have one paperback be self contained, this series seems to like to have each story arc collected across two different paperbacks.
