Batgirl #30

I love this issue. The art immediately gives it a fun style that sucks me in visually. And the story is really interesting. Babs is given some fun challenges and I'm excited to see where it goes. This is a great start. Read Full Review

Scott Explores divisions between father and daughter in the first part of a story in which shadows of the past loom into the present. Its a promising opening to a new chapter for Barbara. Shes gaining some level of independence having been recovering from serious injury in the recent past. With the opening of the story established, this new chapter in the life of Batgirl should find some interesting new momentum. Read Full Review

Overall this is a super solid issue. Scott sets up the next chapter with a picture perfection final page reveal that leaves you not just wanting more, but wanting it now! The craft on this issue is impeccable, there is literally not one panel I would have changed, the story moves at a brisk pace and unfolds in an extremely satisfying fashion setting up the next beat with precision. Pelletier and Rapmund continue their stellar work at the drawing board, while writer Mairghread Scott skates dangerously close to advocating a political position. I don't mind anyones politics, as long as they don't run to either extreme. And I don't mind politics in comics, so long as they don't get preachy. Its an easy landmine to step on, but thankfully Scott avoids it, and rather gracefully, I might add. Read Full Review

It's not a bad story overall. It's a little more wordy than I would hope but it's not bad. The art is rather dull. I just don't think I'm a Pelletier fan. His art doesn't do it for me. With an artist I liked more, it may have been better. Read Full Review

Solid issue! Art and dialogue was pretty good! Something new that i am looking forward to more about! Started out strong and hoping it can maintain it.

This was an ok issue for me. One of the best writings for Barbara since years.She finally acts more like Batgirl again, but overall I wish she was Oracle again. However nothing that much happened in this issue. Batgirl tries to protect a politician& Jason Bard returns. As for me I wish he would have stayed away. Never liked his character at all.

An okay start to a new arc. Not a ton happens and what does isn't too interesting to me. This is just plainly fine. It didn't hook me at all though.
