Its time for artist Robson Rocha to redesign Mera as his current take looks way too much like an homage to the X-Mens Phoenix than her own style. Although theres not much action, Rocha easily handles the dramatic, tense nature of this storyline. Romulo Fajardo Jrs color work is impressive and plays up Rochas style beautifully. I like what we got at the end of this issue, but it's up to you to decide if one page a good comic makes.  That might be a little harsh, but everything else leads up to the cliffhanger and doesn't spend too much time getting there.  I am excited to see what comes next, though I wish all of the concerned parties were along for the swim. As long as Aquaman is “not himself,” this title will struggle. While Mera carries this title, it may not be enough. When Mera is front and center, Aquaman is a better comic. As long as Arthur is portrayed as unlikable, he will be a distraction from the good things in the book. It's well past the time to get things back on track. Read Full Review

Prelude: Well, it's time for Aquababy! Let's see how DeConnick goes with this issue. The Good: Great to see Dolphin again. I love Arthur in this issue. Aquababy! Really liked Rocha's art. The Bad: Nothing. Conclusion: A very simple issue with not much happening but it doesn't need do so. It's great for set-up for the next arc and finishing this one off. Just hoping we don't have another Death of a Prince situation on our hands.

A lot of patients (including Dolphin) got pushed aside when Mera showed up at the hospital, wonder if that will have repercussions in later issues. Great art from Rocha.
