Absolute Flash #12 is the end of year one for young Wally West, and it ends on such a high note. His first big test is over, and there are many threads and storylines left on the table that I cannot help but be stoked to see what’s next. This is a must read heroes adventure story! Wally West’s fight with Thawne comes at a grave cost with Fort Fox’s fate on the line. Lemire’s writing delivers on action and emotional pulls. The art team swings big with balancing out the fight and its’ tremendous fallout. The Absolute Universe hits again for a huge win! Read Full Review

Absolute Flash #12 catapults Wally through Thawne's horror into hard-won growth, Rudy's gut-wrenching exit etching real scars amid the chaos. Robles and Lemire synergize spectacle with soul, even as the epilogues tease distractions that test the payoff's punch. This earns a slot in any speedster stack chasing emotional miles over flawless finishes.7/10We hope you found this article interesting. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Absolute Flash #12 and feel it’s a disappointing continuation of the series feeling directionless. It’s been a year since the series took off, and we still don’t exactly know why Wally should be considered a superhero, if he even is one at all. We don’t know what role he has in the greater Absolute Universe. And we don’t know what defines him at his core aside from an overarching feeling of loneliness and angst. That doesn’t make for a compelling story. Read Full Review
