Plot
Nemesis and Rookie arrive at another island with the same characteristics as the previous one, another paradise for depraved billionaires who seek the freedom to commit crimes with impunity, again Nemesis with the alias Anton Albrecht, a supposed millionaire who barely knows this new island. This place is also controlled by the other billionaire Adrian Zigo. This entire island is confident that Nemesis will not reappear because it is an even more secret island.
Only Nemesis infiltrates, because Rookie is in charge of planting explosives throughout the island and waiting for Nemesis' orders.
Nemesis launches his blow, ties Zigo to a chair and points a gun at him, in the other hand he has the detonator of all the bombs that Rookie
installed, where he threatens everyone to transfer half of his fortune to a cryptocurrency of Nemesis, however the plan is complicated because Sang and his team attack and neutralize him, destroying the detonator.
The whole narrative of this island where criminal acts are committed feels so real and believable that it is terrifying, since the comic copies a dark reality of the last decade.
Once Nemesis is subdued, Sang offers everyone that he will be executed and his money returned, but Rookie shows on the screens all the depravities that all these Hollywood magnates, multimillionaires and celebrities carried out with which they can destroy their careers and take him to bankruptcy and go to jail, so everyone pounces on Sang and his team and kills them. There is a recurring joke about cows.
Nemesis escapes and eliminates Sang, waiting for Rookie to rescue him with a real Adrian Zigo spaceship. Both escape by destroying the island and in a way they eliminate very bad people, of course they do not do it for free and in a grotesque way.
Nemesis meets with the wife of Ensi Ur-Baba, the ancient being who is like a demon who feasts on human misery and charges Nemesis for his service with the heart of someone he cares about, and Rookie is sacrificed. Nemesis now adopts the alias of Hans Berg, a supposed technological genius who took over a pharmaceutical company, a bioengineering firm and a social network, because Nemesis' plan is not only to take revenge on the heroes who humiliated him, but to conquer the world first.
We hope that Ensi Ur-Baba's story is developed further on because it is super interesting.
Vertiginous, intense, chilling and exciting closing of this new saga that moves in the Heist genre that shows a new emergence of this fearsome villain, who is capable of anything, who already has everything ready for his new plan to control the world in the next volume NEMESIS FOREVER.
Art
Valerio Giangiordano presents an art with many textures adorned with shadows, where the facial expressions are so clear and well recreated that they make you feel the wrath of Nemesis. His anatomy scales are robust, which makes this villain more frightening. Each panel is striking and unforgettable. The color palette is cold and focused on a sepia tone.
He achieves some mind-blowing double splash pages.
Summary
Nemesis and Rookie achieve another spectacular hit and although Sang is on their trail, this terrible villain is one step ahead.
