This latest Nemesis series gets off to a strong start, showcasing our favorite supervillain at his most cunning. I love the concept of Nemesis hiding in plain sight as billionaire technologist Hans Berg, and I'm excited to see more of this side of the story. It's clearly inspired by figures like Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos, which makes his alter ego all the more fun and relevant. Read Full Review

Plot Nemesis continues with his new identity as billionaire Hans Berg, who has acquired the most important technology and pharmaceutical companies on the planet. He is currently promoting his company, STELLAR, for its first manned trip to Mars in less than a decade. He is gaining the planet's sympathy with this false identity as a futurist and techie. Margot, Matthew/Nemesis's right-hand woman, is worried because she sees her boss as erratic and having constant nightmares. She is concerned about the way Nemesis is making his Hans identity too visible. At the same time, he continues to carry out terrorist attacks as Nemesis, with a large-scale fire in New York and a bomb in the Singapore subway. He makes no demands, only aiming to rat tle the planet's superheroes, because his revenge is against them. (Read BIG GAME.) Meanwhile, the CIA's director of operations, John Pileggi, is trying to figure out Nemesis's attack strategy. It's simple: they recruit random mercenaries from all over the planet. They're going to infiltrate an agent named Kitty Topper. But to impersonate the mercenary Sofie Stein, she must remove her left eye. Kitty will do it because the risk of each Nemesis attack represents thousands of lives.
