Jumpscare #2

I love everything about this series so far and I can only see it getting better! The action, the gore, and the uneasy excitement I get with each panel makes me giddy. I love every character and monster design in this issue. The colors draw you in. I love the references to horror movies, Friday the 13th being a big one in this issue. There's so much to like about this on top of a very good plot unfolding with great pacing. I'm definitely a Jumpscare fan now and I want to know if you are to in the comments below! Read Full Review

Plot Allie checks the picture frames in her parents' house and asks if they're sure Rebecca was kidnapped. They play an audio recording. Allie is deeply hurt by her parents and tells them she won't help them. Rebecca was kidnapped by the monster Grindhouse with the sole purpose of luring Jumpscare out. Jumpscare is approached by a monster who is part of the DISMAL CONCORDAT, a fanatical religion awaiting the return of LEVIATHAN. They are certain Jumpscare is the way to bring it to our world, but Jumpscare eliminates this messenger. Jumpscare visits a wise monster she calls Harbinger. Even though the monster uses that nickname, he warns her of Grindhouse's intentions. The sequence of Jumpscare stopping a robbery is brilliant. A magnificent new chapter that continues to increase the suspense and mystery of this terrifying universe that blends cosmic horror with superheroes, while also paying brilliant tribute to classic horror films. Art It's highly detailed, with facial expressions conveying a wealth of emotion, as does the body language, which offers a blend of superhero poses with classic horror movie movements. Summary Allie turns her back on her family, but Rebecca's kidnapping is linked to the existence of Jumpscare. more
