Black Nerd Problems - Mikkel Snyder

Seven Secrets #5 fulfills the promise made in Seven Secrets #4. It shows how all of the parties moved into different positions and the immediate consequences and continues just to be fun to read and look at it. The action is bold and compliments all of the personal victories and losses that it precedes and follows, and it just works as a concept. There is a strong through-line that makes me excited for the next month, and that is the biggest compliment I can give a series these days. Read Full Review

That terrible fate which we knew was going to befall The Order. If you told me that by the end of Seven Secrets #5, we were pretty much right there for events to come full circle? I would not have believed you. Though here we are, and this creative team gave us a damn good reason to brace for what comes next. Read Full Review

There was this whole arc of the Seinfeld TV show about making a show that literally was about nothing. And Jerry and George delivered the pitch, wowing the execs with this notion that they could deliver a terrific show about absolutely nothing. Not to make light of Seven Secrets, but I wonder if Tom Taylor made a similar pitch for this book. Five issues in, and we have a core group of characters (keepers and holders on one side, seekers on the other). We have genuine plot movement -- the seven bases under attack, forcing consolidation of the bases to one mountainous site...and that causes other big issues. Lots of action, lots of Tom Taylor Moments„¢. It's good stuff. But we still have no idea what the secrets themselves are al more

This was fine. I wish it were better, but at least it's quick.

The anime art style kind of works. I'm only really reading on to find out what the 'secret' is. Bit cheesy and hollow so far. Lots of talks of high stakes but starting to get bored.
