He finds the genetically created monster that killed the crew after it has traversed to his own abandoned space station. He had discovered that the monster was designed to eliminate enemy satellites. He must find a means to destroy the creature when his a rmor's capabilities prove to be ineffective against it.more

Summary: Logan follows the trail leading to Alex's location. Soviet agent Quark attempts to brainwash Alex.

Summary: While vacationing in Mexico, Alex & Logan are set upon by Soviet agents & their Mexican henchmen. After both are shot with bubonic plague bullets, Alex is captured to be used in some scheme to remove Gorbachev from power. Logan recovers to find Alex's grave is empty after being told that he died.

Comments: I'm pretty sure that is John Byrne making a cameo appearance.

After escaping the Stranger, Thor finds out that his captives are evil, & are not innocent victims. Using his hammer, Thor goes back in time to erase what has happened, so that the Stranger may not learn of Asgard.

Summary: After ships are sunk by the Kraken & Namor is accused of causing it, he searches for the Kraken with the help of Diane Arliss. Namor finds the Kraken is actually a type of submarine, headed by Commander Kraken. He is captured, but escapes after a fight with the crew. He leads the vessel to the lair of the actual Kraken, where it is destroyed by the crea ture.more

Summary: In Bay City, Firebrand raises tensions between black protesters & the city at the dig site of a new community center funded by the Iron Man Foundation. Iron Man confronts Firebrand to keep the protest from turning into a violent riot. It is learned that a city councilman has a financial interest in the real estate & construction firms to be used for the project, so it is terminated.more

Kind of a let down for a 100th issue.

Summary: While flying home from Attilan, the FF's saucer is shot down somewhere over Asia. The Mad Thinker & Puppet Master have teamed up to send android (but weaker) replicas of some of the FF's villains against them: Kang, Dr. Doom, Kree Sentry, Dragon Man, Sub-Mariner, Hate-Monger, Super-Skrull, Red Ghost & his Super Apes, Wizard, Trapster & Sandman. Their Hu lk replica refuses to obey their orders, & their base is destroyed when they try to stop it. The FF hitch a ride home on a NATO jet.more

Summary: DD watches the attendees at Ross Archer's funeral, including Karen. Archer was murdered by Brother Brimstone, a character he portrayed on a soap opera. Later, Karen receives a note from the special-effects man to meet him at the LaBrea Tar Pits. Karen is attacked by Brother Brimstone, who intends to kill her. DD arrives at the scene & fights BB. BB is r evealed to be Vince Sterling, an actor in the soap opera, & he dies by sinking into the tar pit. Sterling got his strength from a mechanical suit designed by the special-effects man.more
