    Comic Watch - B. Radtz Sep 12, 2025

Easily the best X-book from the From The Ashes era, Eve L. Ewings voice for these characters has been spot on, and has kept me involved from beginning to end. The new characters introduced here has been well-crafted, and developed enough to want me to come back for more. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Joe Jones Sep 10, 2025

The issue culminates with Kitty Pryde embracing all aspects of life as a X-Man, realizing that she must take the bad with the good in order to fully appreciate her time with the X-Men. This resolution of the issue is significant because it allows Kitty the opportunity to finally put her past behind her and put to rest her feelings of regret in order to fully embrace what the future has in store for her. There is something to be said of how well how comfortable i've become with those new characters. I can't say this for too many of the new additions elsewhere. It's team effort in realitity, because this comics deals so well with both the old and the new, the new characters humanize the old and the old give them legimacy. The mood of jokes and mocking is a big part for this, it puts all of them on the same plane, they all feel equal both on power dinamic level and on level of the writhing. Everybody is just so sincere with how they act, which leads to the comedy a lot of the time. Based on those dynamics, this is always the first title i pick every week(F4 also).

This issue highlighs all this really well, as every issue of the run more

Kinda wish they'd had more time to focus on this story before the crossover — the idea of "the students get to be the adults to young Kitty" is a wonderful coming-of-age moment to round the series out if it doesn't come back after the latest Age of Apocalypse rehash, but it doesn't have nearly enough room to breathe in a single issue

The absence of Carmen Carnero‘s art makes me realize that I rated some issues much higher than Eve Ewing‘s writing actually deserved. For better or worse, this is the last issue. I won’t be back for Expatriate X-Men.
