Has Blüdhaven’s first corrupt police officer truly returned from the dead to strikedown honest cops…or is there a sinister conspiracy in the heart of CommissionerSawyer’s department? Nightwing isn’t sure which might be worse—if he cansurvive long enough to find out.
This is one of the tensest DC Comics I've read in a while, which is the result of this being a perfect fusion of writing and art. The tonal shift as this run began was pretty dramatic, but Dan Watters has solidly won me over. Read Full Review

Nightwing #126 is a captivating read that is elevated by incredible art from Francesca Francavilla that helps emphasize the tone and severity of the threat Nightwing and Detective Sawyer are facing by illustrating a more intense and grittier environment. Read Full Review
This second arc is where we really see Dan Watters find his grove on Nightwing. Read Full Review

Nightwing #126 may introduce some fantastic wrinkles into the overall fold of Watters' run on the character, but it struggles to leave an impact of its own as a standalone two-parter. Even with the improved art and stronger plotting, the issue still has me waiting for things to pick back up next month. Read Full Review
It isn't hard to see that Captain Hallow has a lot of potential as a villain. Considering the costume goes to the evidence locker after his appearances, it could exist as long as the revolving door of corruption and superstition subsists. To me, that's a cool concept. Unfortunately, this story couldn't nail a compelling story for the antagonists' motivation and loses steam in the end. However, someone else may write this character more carefully in the future. Lastly, Nightwing was barely in this story at all and the rabbit hole of corruption remains too unexplored for my liking. Read Full Review
Love Francavilla’s art… great tension building / expanding Nightwing’s corner of DC’s All In Universe
I really like how Francesco Francavilla's art really works here. usually I like flashy bombastic art but the simplistic art really makes me engaged with the nitty gritty detective story
This is not a review of the art by FF.
This story can be described as by the numbers or phoning it on. Take your pick. And I really like Dan Watters work.
Misses the mark once again, just as with the previous storyline. The villain had potential, but the motivations and lack of character development worked against it. I love Francovilla’s art style on some other recent titles, but coming in the wake of Bruno Redondo, it’s not a good fit here.
I don't feel anything for this comic and this run.
