It's very obvious that a solid amount of writers (possibly Tynion included) don't like the idea of Batman and/or Bruce Wayne and that's why the majority of good "Batman" comics today have either little to do with Batman or completely flip the script (White Knight, Harleen, This etc). It's becoming more and more difficult to make a compelling comic about a billionaire given the fact that people now realize there is really no such thing as a good billionaire, or at least a heroic one. That is why a comic about a simple guy like Jim Gordon considering deadly revenge on the person who has caused him so much harm throughout his entire life is more exciting to read than just the regular old Batman beats bad guy again. I understand if people disagree with my stance on Batman, but I'm just trying to explain why I think so many of the main Batman comics of late have been so bland.
