Zdarsky is really starting to creep up to Miller and Bendis territory with how good this run has been.

It's very obvious that a solid amount of writers (possibly Tynion included) don't like the idea of Batman and/or Bruce Wayne and that's why the majority of good "Batman" comics today have either little to do with Batman or completely flip the script (White Knight, Harleen, This etc). It's becoming more and more difficult to make a compelling comic about a billionaire given the fact that people now realize there is really no such thing as a good billionaire, or at least a heroic one. That is why a comic about a simple guy like Jim Gordon considering deadly revenge on the person who has caused him so much harm throughout his entire life is more exciting to read than just the regular old Batman beats bad guy again. I understand if people disagree with my stance on Batman, but I'm just trying to explain why I think so many of the main Batman comics of late have been so bland.

This event has been full of ups and downs, but Hickman comes through with a phenomenal issue.

Could be looked at as filler but this is way better than this weeks X-Men issue. There's been a lack of character interaction overall in X of Swords so it was nice to get one issue dedicated to both sides hashing it out.

Probably Howard's most solid issue of X of Swords so far. This definitely should have been a 15 issue event

Enjoying this series much more than I expected

Really hope the final 6 issues of this event are good because even with fantastic art, I'm starting to check out.

Not good. I've liked X of Swords more than most thus far and even thought the last issue was fantastic, but this is just rough. We've already heard this story. I expect better from Hickman, and I expect no recycled art.
