The Ted Kord/Black Mask surprise was satisfying. Several of the Revolutionaries ended up being satisfying characters that I hope to see again (like Super-Man (Kong Kenan) and Silencer). I'm intrigued by Wink's relationship to the Black Racer. And I enjoyed Tom Taylor's banter. The ending felt a little rushed, but I can't blame Taylor for trying to wrap things up since issue 11 is a really odd number to end on. This felt like the fun Suicide Squad squad of the original Ostrander era, and it's a real shame that it didn't take off. I understand the criticism of using new characters created just for this run instead of known ones, but for a change, the stakes actually felt real issue to issue. If/when Suicide Squad returns, I hope the next writer doesn't just play it safe. This was miles above the Williams run.
