The Ted Kord/Black Mask surprise was satisfying. Several of the Revolutionaries ended up being satisfying characters that I hope to see again (like Super-Man (Kong Kenan) and Silencer). I'm intrigued by Wink's relationship to the Black Racer. And I enjoyed Tom Taylor's banter. The ending felt a little rushed, but I can't blame Taylor for trying to wrap things up since issue 11 is a really odd num more
Suicide Squad #11
FINAL ISSUE
The explosive final issue is here! Task Force X has been through hell and back. Now they're the last thing standing between a human bomb and an island full of innocents. Which means that even if they win the day, there's nowhere to run when the Justice League arrives to clean house!
Suicide Squad (2019)
Task Force X-nicknamed the Suicide Squad-unites some of the DCU's unlikeliest villains for its bloodiest series yet! The Squad's new mission is to neutralize a new group of international super-terrorists known as the Revolutionaries-and not everyone on either side will make it out back alive! But when the U.S. government's most deniable team of do-...
I love Delano's and Ennis's Hellblazer runs. This one was better. It's possible the comics market isn't big enough to support this sort of book anymore, which is a shame, because I wrapped up this story looking at the final black page and cursing that this was it. The story ends at a point that someone else can pick up from in the future, but it will be a real shame if Spurrier/Campbell aren't inv more
John Constantine: Hellblazer #12
FINAL ISSUE
John Constantine faces his final reckoning with the older version of himself who's been seeding magical chaos all around England, while the lives of all his friends hang in the balance...and that is not a good situation for John Constantine's friends. Can the evil in John's heart ever be contained? Or will it reach out and destro...
What a perfect conclusion to a near-perfect run. I keep thinking back to Constantine's earlier runs, and I'm not sure even Delano's 1988-1991 had this level of character grit and bold urban mustiness. Not only that, but the art is absolutely stunning throughout.
Here's hoping the creative team will get to tackle John again in the very near future, especially given the amazing ground the

This is probably my favorite issue of the run. And it's such an incredible shame that this is the end. If DC had any sense, they'd bring it back, even if the sales aren't what they'd like. Sometimes a story is worth publishing even if it's not a major seller. It'd look good to have one of the most critically acclaimed and universally praised series on shelves.

Kirkman's character work is phenomenal. Owen's family life is completely recognizable, except for the random martial arts battles that appear at random moments (in this issue, a date night). This series is a joy to read and I'm eagerly anticipating the next issue. I'll be miserable if Kirkman harms Kellie, though!
Fire Power #4
Things go from bad to worse as Owen and Kellie's night out turns into a nightmare! Thankfully, the kids are safe at home... aren't they?
