It is amazing and spectacular and feels superior to other Spider-Man stories.

A love letter to the Spider-Man mythos and to his fans. With this story we get to see a Peter Parker actually growing up as a hero and as person, while we go through the different Marvel events that we all love. The relationships he develop during his life and the lessons he learns are what makes the character a fan favorite.

Well this was really something else. I think Zdarsky truly understands Spider-Man and what he's all about and the way he incorporated classic Spider-Man stories without them losing what made them special and important while still being fresh and unique proves that.

This is a pretty cool concept, and there are some interesting plot points, but it feels really rushed to the point where the twists aren't surprising because they are quickly set up and revealed. Would have been incredible if each decade was a volume instead of an issue though.

Issues 1, 3 and 4 are amazing - like 8, 9 and 10s. Issue 5 and 6 are utter garbage. Issue 2 is alright. Overall - It's fine but wasted potential.

Life Story is a thorough examination of Spider-Man, appraised with a delicacy and reverence that left me an emotional wreck by the end. Chip Zdarsky and Mark Bagley are a perfect pairing to deliver one of the most moving Spidey stories in years.
