Any trepidation about the Sandman Universe has now been assuaged several times over. Spurrier and Evely have worked together to continue Gaiman's work in a truly 2019 way that appeals to newcomers to the universe and fulfills the vets. Several questions remain. Why did the narrators set fire to the inn and distract the occupants? Are they independent agents, or working for someone else? If so, who? Who are the two other narrators and how is it possible that Dora and Matthew know one of them? Read Full Review

I'm not dropping the series but I'm feeling very frustrated by both it and myself with the difficulties that come from the lettering work here. I know why it's done and it's always been a part of comics, and especially things from Vertigo, but it's been rare that I've found almost entire books unreadable because of it. There's good stuff in here and some gorgeous artwork so it's definitely worthwhile but those with a bit better eye toward handling the lettering will get more out of it. Read Full Review

Really good. I just wish the main plot was as interesting as literally any of the diversions this book has taken recently.
