Effigy #2

Effigy #2 is a good step up from the last issue, showing plenty of improvements over last time. The script feels tighter, the writing is solid, the characters are pretty good, and the artwork is easy on the eyes. Issue one hit it out the park and this follow-up is no slouch either. There are only two issues out and the comics are reasonably priced ($2.99) – no-brainer folks! This title definitely lives up to the strong reputation of Vertigo Comics. Read Full Review

Much of the book's investing quality comes from his fantastic characterization, his use of facial expression, coupled with subtle mannerisms, making for an immediately relatable tone. If the creators can maintain that investment while also ratcheting up the mystery, Effigy may just surprise. Read Full Review

The characters are great and the main reason I came back for second issue. The plot is lacking something though, hopefully it kicks in when the Influence Center guys do something, let's move it along.

I was very excited after the first issues as the art and the expressions are on point. However this issue was a let down. The story feels unappealing and I have lost interest. It is a shame since this is only issue #2.
