Oct 23, 2019I've loved literally every page of this series so far. While I've been reviewing them based on a review pdf, it's the physical comic that shines so well. I say this because I have also been buying the series, in part because I wanted to see the art without a watermark on it and in part, because I will always try to buy the books I enjoy in order to support the series. Oct 23, 2019Doctor Mirage #3 was a surreal masterpiece. The artwork and the plot combined to leave the reader unsure of the truth. And the end result was something luminous and vibrant. I already can't wait to get my hands on the next issue, and I know I'm not going to be alone in feeling that way. Read Full Review

Oct 30, 2019Though a bit light on plot substance, Dr. Mirage gives us some good character material here throughout. I like the back and forth between Shan and Grace that goes on more regularly than one might expect simply because Shan is done with a lot of happenings. And there's probably a bit in her head wondering if she really is dead. Robles' artwork is a big part of the draw here for me with some great visuals for locations and what they're going through and I love the Embalmer visual as well, especially as more physical interactions got underway with Shan. The halfway mark is here and I'm really curious as to where Visaggio is taking us with the remainder. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Oct 23, 2019A little bit more has been revealed about the mystery, and the things seem to be going in an interesting direction. Even if this particular issue feels more of an exercise in replicating kind of magic, which has been bound to the page by more prominent publishers elsewhere. The story could potentially turn into something really special as it further mystery is revealed in the final issues of the miniseries. Read Full Review

Oct 25, 2019I am intrigued by the premise of Dr. Mirage #3. I like the uncertainty of whether it takes place somewhere in the Deadside, or in Grace's head, or even in Shan's own mind. Because of this uncertainty, it is also a little nebulous as far as what is actually going on. I like the exploration into themes of loss, though. Read Full Review
