    Empress #2 may have slowed things down a little, but for the better, with the issue still managing to end in an exhilarating manner. Not only did the creative team achieve this, but they also gave us some fun character interaction, with some tense moments along the way. Read Full Review

    The sense of adventure and drama continues in Empress #2. I love the contrast between the heroic Dane, the determined Emporia, and loyal Aine. One minor gripe is King Morax being absent from this issue. There was enough progress in the story that his absence didn't take away, but I want to see more of the king and queen's courtship flashback. To reference that final page again -- I can't wait to see how they get themselves out of this danger. Read Full Review
