X-Force #20 gives another view of the Hellfire Gala, showing what the security services do during diplomatic dinner- ensure security in more ways than one. Percy does a great job in this chapter, but by now, thats to be expected. Moreover, Percy continues to be one of (if not thee) best X-MEN related writers currently by flexing his writing chops in such a way that makes a stuffy GALA exciting and intriguing. X-Force #20 is an enjoyable issue thanks to its chaotic energy and its mixing of serious and silly. This issue Percy brings us a delicious glass of what our chaotic X-Force is up to. From the exciting moment of Logan and Domino taking Deadpool down to Emma Frost confronting Sage on Terra Verde this was an excellent issue. I love when a team is able to provide themes from their current story arc in an event that flows with many titles. This is an extension of how great the x office works with each other. Can we talk about how Emma served it that entire issue!? With Emma being my favorite x-men member this right here is the gala event I have been eagerly waiting for and I am very well satisfied. A really fun issue. Nice to see the Terra Verde plot com back around to bite the Mutants. Beast continues to screw up and leave the rest of X-Force to clean up his mistakes. Honestly, I enjoyed this issue more than I thought I would. Deadpool crashing the Gala was a fun surprise subplot as well.

A very nice return-to-form for this series. Cassara being back on the art duties was already a great sign, and he ended up, unsurprisingly, doing a good job with the interiors. Percy's story was significantly more interesting, as well. The encounter between Wolverine and Deadpool was fun, and I also enjoyed the interaction between Emma Frost and Sage.

Really want to see Beast confront the Quiet Council. I thought for sure they would pick him as a replacement for Jean but he seems way too ingrained in XForce now.

This was miles better than the last few issues and mainly because the cast is back in action and Cassara is also back in action. Beast is just the worst right now even if the green men plot is getting tedious but it served its purpose. Deadpool was a welcomed distraction! Finally I have to emphasize Cassara and eFx's art because without it this story would be crap.

Ooooh-ooh, Beast is in truh-bull! Couldn't have happened to a more hubristic furball and I can't wait to see how it plays out. Writing and drawing are rock-solid here, providing a blissfully welcome counterpoint to the disappointing start of the Gala in Marauders #21. (Getting to actually do some plot development helps a lot!)

Percy is losing his subtlety with what he's doing with Beast, it gets really tedious, but I enjoyed the parts with Deadpool being angry at mutants for treating him like dirt.
