X-Force #11 may be a prelude to another story, but it's one done right. Percy manages to keep his own plots moving forward while still serving the purpose of the prelude story. While the beginning of the issue is a little clunky, it all develops nicely as things go on. Bazaldua's art is fantastic and, with GURU-eFX's coloring making the whole thing pop. Overall, X-Force #11 offered the kind of story you want to see more often from this book. When you can't replication processes and technology the same as the mutants? You end up with the madness the mutants are now dealing with on their doorstep. I only hope that the lead into Swords of X connections doesn't distract from what good this book has going for it. While I completely respect the team behind this current run of 'X-Force', this issue seems out of the left field and hard to follow. The dialogue and art are fantastic, but it is not easy for the casual reader. Read Full Review

Examining the dead Russian super-soldiers from Wolverine #3 unleashes Matryoshka assassins and throws Krakoa into chaos. Said chaos gets Colossus to pitch in, albeit temporarily, and eventually points into the "X of Swords" event. A tight (if overly-familiar) plot, sharp characterization, and some surprisingly strong substitute art make this a good read. I think the art crew deserves more credit. Yes, they're imitating Joshua Cassara, and no, they're not equalling him. But they're going surprisingly far. This is much more nuanced shading than I'd expect from Guru-eFX. And Bazaldua manages to turn an inherently silly premise -- Matryoshka assassins -- into a legitimately scary and gross threat.

It's OK. I'm losing interest fast with yet another invasion. Cool ideas from Percy but it's hits and misses. It's the art that takes me out of it. Bazaldua's work here is better than previous issues but man you can't match Cassara's work.

I’m still not feeling this current story as much as I’d like, unfortunately. There are definitely some bright spots here, but I don’t feel it’s up to the standards previously set by this series. I’m also not the biggest fan of Bazaldua returning after having Joshua Cassara back for the last two issues. Though, I do prefer the art we got from them here as opposed to their previous art in this run.

I love this new X-Force series, but I think these last 4-5 issues are going downhill. Xeno is nowhere to be found and it looks like Percy is dragging this for too long. Characters are always greatly written, anyway.

This is a continuation from Ben Percy's Wolverine series. I don't read that book so the intro was kinda jarring. I feel like there's been a sameness to this title from issue to issue that is starting to get a little stale at this point. How many times have invaders on Krakoa slipped under X-Force's radar now?
