This cast has a great deal of potential, but unless something changes soon this monster of the week format is going to get boring fast. Read Full Review

X-Force #2 is a good old-fashioned superhero comic that pits the team against the blossoming threat to the world. Geoffrey Throne's approach to episodic storytelling appears to be just the ticket to giving each team member a chance to shine, and Marcus To's art is excellent. Read Full Review

Admittedly, I didn't find X-Force #2 quite as strong as its predecessor, but it was still really entertaining. The character's are written with great chemistry which shows throughout the comic. So far, I'm really enjoying this X-Force team together as I feel they work really well together. Sage was a fun focal point of the comic, as it's a magic versus technology plot. All in all, I think this was a good continuation of the X-Force series, which makes me excited to see what's next. Read Full Review

Refreshingly tidy and self-contained, X-Force #2 struggles with the necessary limitations of a single-use conflict and a one-character focus. Read Full Review

I'm really liking the "monster of the week" format so far. Makes it unique among the more interconnected other X-books in this reset, which fits the vibe of what X-Force is about. Drop in, solve a problem, get out. The art was solid, but I'm mostly enjoying the cast and structure so far. Good stuff.

Plot Forge, Sage, Captain Britain, Askani and Tank arrive in Wakanda to stop the other rift that the computer Analog warns Forge about. X-Force discovers that a tribal leader has a special Wakandan item and intends to use it to seize the Black Panther mantle. X-Force neutralizes the thieves and the Wakandan army takes them prisoner. The next installment is in Cambodia. The sequences where Sage calculates the probability of success of his next move are great. This installment lowers the intensity of the action sequences that the previous one began with, and the fissure does not look as dangerous. Art It is detailed and uses a lot of shadows to give it dynamism and a touch of mystery, the anatomy is slender in all its characters more

A slight improvement over the first issue, although I'm still not completely hooked on this book. What I'm about to point out isn't a huge deal, but it will likely continue to bother me if it keeps happening throughout this run. I've noticed that, in certain sections of dialogue, Thorne likes to put a lot of ellipses in the lines of characters. Again, likely not a deal-breaker for me, as it doesn't happen across the entire book, but I did find it a bit annoying when it was present.
