You Don't Read Comics - David Harth
Oct 07, 2020Wolverine #6 succeeds on two fronts- it's a well-done continuation of X Of Swords and a just a great Wolverine comic in general. This is a challenging balancing act to pull off, but Percy hits it perfectly. Read Full Review

Comic Watch - Mike Eakins
Oct 07, 2020I am enjoying Benjamin Percy on Wolverine, I guess it helps that I quite enjoy both, but I digress. Issue #6 really does a great job of capturing Logan in his best form. We see him stand up to Krakoa, get a trip through his mind, see his determination on display. Now there were times that the book felt cramped on the pages but as I said previously, that probably lies more with me. Introducing a new character, especially a villain is always exciting and Solem definitely has a creepiness to him that I cannot wait to see how he plays out. Read Full Review

Extraordinary issue. I don’t know how this is anything below a 9. When’s the last time anyone dug back to Wolverine’s Frank Miller stories?

Wolverine is my favorite character and this is a near perfect Wolverine book! It reminds me of a volume 1 book with it’s Frank Miller feel. It’s also part 3 from x of swords which has been absolutely brilliant!!!! 10/10

I loved this. I really liked Solem as a character, looking forward to seeing more of him. Bogdanovic's art reminds me so much of Greg Capullo's, it's so good.

Hard to review this as a wolverine issue, rather than what it actually is, which is part 3 of the 22 part story. But even as that and even as a solo wolverine story, it succeeds in both. It's awesome to see Wolverine embark on a journey to get a weapon. Feels very medieval and pretty metal by the time Logan gets to Hell. It has action, explanations, and most importantly keeps the event going. I can't stress it enough that an event should always keep the reader's attention, otherwise it'll feel like a slog to read (Empyre...). So far X of Swords has been a blast to read

XOS Ch. 3: Ben Percy seems to be better at writing Logan as a solo character as opposed to his showing in X-Force recently. This is a good chapter that works as a solo Wolverine story and helps flesh out the Arakko mutants a bit more. X Of Swords is still keeping up the quality!

This went in a really interesting direction and I thought it was well done.

This was a good issue, and I hope the quality for X of Swords stays relatively consistent throughout its many chapters.

Great story, but I'm still mad for the fact I need to read every single X-Series to understand what the hell (no pun intended) is going on. Anyway, Percy's writing is awesome.

I found it good, not great. The flip to the first Arakki champion was interesting. The way some DoX authors -- Benjamin Percy especially -- employ datafile pages to prop up their issues with big wads of prose still bothers me. It's not entirely bad, but I think the fact that the issues NEED that support is a weakness.

X of swords was a disappointment but this made its seem really cool and was everything that event should have been about.

The weakest issue for X of Swords thus far, but still a good read nonetheless. Percy continues to write a nice Logan, and I found the Arakko sections of this book really interesting. Plus, Bogdanovic's art was great and definitely one of the strongest parts of this book.

There’s something about Solem that I don’t quite like. And I really did not enjoy that expository dialogue page, it annoyed me an unreasonable amount.

The story is fine, but it continues on X-Force. This story could've very well continued on the next issue of Wolverine, and I'm sure Percy wanted this, but the higher-ups decided to continue on X-Force so we could purchase another title. This is why I despise crossovers. I only collect Wolverine and for the next two issues, unless I read ALL 22 PARTS, I won't understand what the heck is going on. No thanks. IMO, the next two issues never existed.
