Wolverine #30

‘Wolverine' bounces back as the current story arc hits a whole new stride and takes things up a notch by delivering a moment that a great many X-Fans have wanted to see for quite some time. It doesn't appear, at least right now, if the ongoing "Sins of Sinister" event will wind up playing any sort of role in this, but Beast is so threatening as a villain that I'm actually hoping it doesn't happen. Read Full Review

This is absolutely fantastic! I loved every panel of this book. Multiple times I found myself reacting to what was happening by saying things out loud. Wolverine has always been by favorite character and I've been reading his books since the '80's. I have to say Benjamin Percy is doing a phenomenal job with this book. He really understands Wolverine and writes him perfectly. This volume just keeps getting better and is one of my all-time favorites. The next issue can't get here soon enough bub.

This was an exceptional issue, each character having both purpose and direction that continues to move this plot forward at a good pace. The characters pulled from X-Force in this issue get plenty to do and it is nice to see them get quite a bit of diologue as well. As for Logan, it is nice to see him back to himself once again, we get some of his brand of humor and a classic threat line that I've been missing from Wolverine since Beast made him his pet. It is interesting to see his conflict with Beast start to come to a head, and I found a newfound appreciation for the villainous direction Hank is on, the way he and Logan had their face-off at the end of the issue really shows that Beast knows Logan really well and was able to use that t o his advantage in a way I am excited to see play out in the next few issues. Wonder if Logan will realize his mistake before too long? more

All of the plot-chickens came home to roost in an immensely satisfying way here. The action was tense and beautifully drawn throughout, and the dialogue was good and tough without veering into cliche. I needed to be reminded that this title can be great, and this issue did the job.

This wasn't quite on the same level as the rest of the story arc thus far, but it was still a pretty good issue overall. Ryp's art continues to be one of the highlights, in my opinion. I also really liked the ending of this with Beast. This is still probably the strongest story for this run so far.

Despite a mediocre art, this series continues to be one of the most interesting. Beast has basically become the biggest villain of the mutant world and I'm sure the final plot twist will be twisted even more.
