In West Coast Avengers #6, interest is adroitly split between Kate and her team, and both stories develop in fascinating ways. This book is in my personal wheelhouse so unless something goes really wrong, I am going to at least like most issues. Nothing goes wrong here and I enjoyed mostly everything Thompson and Di Nicuolo are dishing out. While this is a middle part of the story, issue 6 of West Coast Avengers is still incredibly strong and delivers a great comic. While its hard to recommend as someones first issue, the story does a solid enough job filling in people as it goes. Readers familiar with the story so far really shouldnt miss this one. This issue ends in a cliffhanger, but that certainly doesn't mean it isn't worth a STRONG BROWSE, maybe even a BUY. There are so many elements at play in this issue that are worth examining more than once, especially since we still don't know exactly how sinister the figures from Kate's past truly are. Thompson writes her characters perfectly and I love the team dynamic that they have. West Coast Avengers is the best team book Marvel is publishing, even over Champions (barely). And you have to love that twist of a last page!

A awesome reading. Love the Quire/Gwen moment in this issue. I also was fond of Kate or Chavez. The bad guys are very fun too. Cover - Not fully strong or fully related but close enough. 1.5/2 Writing - The best avengers ongoing, seriously Aaron can learn a lot from this. 3/3 Arts - The arts are perfect. The layout are dynamic and fun. 3/3 Feeling - What a bliss ! 2/2

This issue makes it nigh-canon that Marvel supervillains like to get wine-drunk and stick c-list heroes in deathtraps just for funsies, and I love that.
