While this Strikeforce book doesn't really "add" anything to the continuation of the War of the Realms story it is a nice more detailed look into things that are happening. Tom Taylor does a wonderful job of balancing comedy and more serious aspects throughout this issue. The art team also does a great job of not only offering some beautiful visuals but nailing the comedic timing of different bits as well. If you have been enjoying War of the Realms, or just want a solid one-shot story then check this issue out. Read Full Review

So despite a strong visual realization of Taylor's script, this whole book feels oddly inconsequential, especially where it overlaps with other War of the Realms stories. And that's a bummer because it starts out looking like it's going to be at least a little meatier than a run-of-the-mill fight book. Read Full Review

You know the book is gonna be awesome in terms of the story when Tom Taylor is the writer. Visually it's stunning too. The interactions, the chemistry, the action and pretty much everything is superb and it also manages to be very hilarious; I haven't had good laugh for a while but this did the magic.

Technically, this doesn't add much to the plot that wasn't already covered in the main WotR book, but the writing is so hilarious and character voices are spot on, particularly Spider-Man's. Even the art is excellent, this might be the best WotR book I've read so far, I'll be on the lookout for other Tom Taylor works in the future.

This reads more like a bonus issue of FNSM than a team one-shot, but why complain when the result is this charming? Tom Taylor's script comes correct with comedy and pathos, and Jorge Molina + Adriano Di Benedetto deliver an impressively big-budget art performance. Pretty much everything you could ask for in a Spider-Man event tie-in.

There was some absolutely incredible action in team chemistry in this issue and by far the best Strikforce one shot yet. My main problem is that I felt nothing for Buttercup the talking flying horse. Nothing.
