I think this is the best Dylan has been written by Ewing. Such creativity. But yeah, still loving this book, what else is new?

I really agree with what Afre said in their review, in that I think this is the best job Ewing has done with writing Dylan thus far. I think his voice felt more genuine and authentic. As for the story itself, I found it entertaining and good, as can be seen by my rating, though I also feel as though this isn't Ewing's strongest work on the title. Although, it is well-documented at this point that I prefer Eddie's side of the story in this title to Dylan's, no matter who's writing it. Something I do want to point out, though, is how crazy it is that Flexo is being used in this series right now. If you don't already know, Flexo was a character from the 1940's that was seen in the first four issues of Mystic Comics. It wasn't until this curren t series that he was seen again in comics. Ewing bringing in a character that hasn't been seen in over eight decades and making them a big threat in this story is just great, in my opinion. Ewing is such a comic book nerd and I absolutely love it. more

It feels like we're cooking with gas here. The art is generally strong, though ironically, Venom's look might be my least favorite part of the visuals (Not bad by any means, just strangely, vaguely "off"). The author's struck a good balance between mysterious foreshadowing and immediate action--and there's a nice dose of solid humor to bind it all together and make the reading experience fun.

It was alright. Had a good concept. Art looked pretty good. Just felt like it was missing something. Also, I get that covers sometimes don't really have anything to do with the story, but I hate totally misleading covers and this is one.
