Uncanny Avengers #22

Overall, I really enjoyed this issue. This title as a whole has been very up and down with me. But I really feel it found it's groove when it was dealing more with the Red Skull, instead of him just being pushed off for other smaller stories. The ending of this major story arc really brought me around to this title and reminded me why I hadn't given up on it. And again, that ending! This is a bit of a bland issue. I'm not terribly fond of the character development on Rogue or the regression of the others, and could care less about Wonder Man's return. The bits with Rogers and the Skull are interesting enough and the art " like always " is top notch, but this felt like padding the story rather than adding anything meaningful to it. After a ton of action the past few months, Gerry Duggan delivers a more low-key issue where not a lot happens, but it's still fun enough. It's a very quick read and Pepe Larraz's art looks great as usual, but it did leave me wanting a little bit more of an idea of where this story is headed. Read Full Review

Wow. If you’d tell me that Rogue and Deadpool were gonna make out I would’ve said that’s a bad idea I don’t care who the author is, but here we are, Wade and Rogue made out, and I am a fan of it. Duggan wrote it so fell and really worked with his characters to get to this point so we had plenty of romantic tension in previous issues. And the last page with Wonder Man May have been the funniest joke this book has pulled so far

A satisfying conclusion for a very long chase. While the story isn't very eventful, it's a breath of air and a definitive mark in both this series and the events of the broader MU, packed with heart-warming moments and the budding of a new, intriguing romance. The art is absolutely stunning with a couple of full-pages that will leave you awed.

Arguably a strong finish to a story started by Remender several years ago. Fans receive closure on some much needed loose threads. There are some beautiful moments where the writer lets up and allows the art to speak for itself. I'll miss this title for its solid competence.

A great ending. Don't understand where he came from in the end. I think I'm missing part of the story. I'm a little confused to be honest. And I really like Deadpool's portrayal in this series. He's cray but lovable. I am intrigued to see what Duggan has for us next and I hope Rouge doesn't stay like that cuz eesh!

The team has a frosty meeting with Hydrated Cap, celebrates defeating the Red Skull, and then we get into Rogue/Deadpool romance. With a surprise third wheel at the end! Though this title's often been sidetracked, this feels like a very natural evolution of the characters' relationships. That applies mainly to Rogue and Wade, of course, but other folks like Janet and Synapse have moved forward, too. Art and writing are both excellent here.

Things wind down after a pretty intense run of issues...it was a good read, although typical of the "let's go out to a bar and relax after saving earth/humanity" genre. Wonder Man is back, and I think, "I don't care, I've never even read a Wonder Man comic, so...not super excited for next issue, but this series has been reliably high quality so I'm in anyway.
