I agree. I thought it was all 4. I'm still enjoying this run, but I do feel cheated. Joe was my fav cap because he felt honest and genuine. Seeing him criticize the stripes before putting them on made sense to me because at first I was like "wouldn't he not like America for obvious reasons?" But they cleared all that up. As for Bucky coming in at the end, ya that was lame. Like out of know where he shows up? Lazy writing.

Aug 25, 2021The United States of Captain Americacontinues to be an interesting road trip story. It's not even about who stole Captain America's shield or who he fights along the way, but about the affirmation of what he does to help others that's contagious. Hopefully, this comic series is self-affirming and does its part to enact a little change in America, because within its superhero stylings there's a message of positivity and hope to help your fellow man. Sep 01, 2021The United States of Captain America is a book at war with itself as it tries to live up to its promises of diversity and representation while shoehorning in an uninspired very by the numbers comic book plotline. Really solid artwork and some good character work as well as the backups focused on the various new Captains truly help keep this book afloat. Read Full Review

Enjoyable series. I'm reminded of Thomas and Buscema's Red Wolf / Avengers tale which was groundbreaking for the early 70's.

I was looking forward to this one since I first heard about this series and it didn't disappoint. I love the Joe Gomez charecter! I really hope to see more of him in the future. This is such a great series for marvel to make it's really going to be memorable for all kinds of different people in a positive way and that is really a fantastic thing.

Another solid issue with maybe our best new Cap yet?? Idk, but Joe Gomez was great as was this story. Seeing Bucky show up just in the nick of time was great too. This book is brining a lo of fans together as it should.

This is still really good. Don't listen to the paranoiac who finds made up political reasons to continually dislike this series.

Steve and Sam team up with Joe Gomez, the Kickapoo Cap of Kansas. They deduce the identities of their antagonists (finally) and pick up a new teammate at the end. I like the big-picture plot and I love the character work, particularly on Joe. The A strip is a bumpy read, though, with rough scene transitions and some plot holes. The B strip's stronger. What's really great is that the two strips work together: The first sets up a mystery that the second solves. Art's solid throughout and this turns into my favorite issue of the title so far.

This was better than the last two (not that that's hard to achieve since those were full of cringe), I really liked Joe's character. Still, I have two big problems with this book. One, the backup stories are always bad and the art is pretty weak, I feel like it's doing a disservice to the main story. If you're going to want to push these characters put in some effort, not just this low-hanging fruit we're offered. And two, Marvel really advertised this in a disingenuous way. They said this was going to be all four Caps against the villains. We're at issue 3 of 5 and John Walker hasn't appeared yet while Bucky just appeared in a few pages, mind you, not as Captain America. Yes, I know, Walker will appear next issue (I'm sure Cantwell will sh more
