The biggest new addition to the Marvel Universe finally fulfills a promise years in the making! On the planet of Perdita lives an ancient power - imprisoned. Leashed. The killer stalks a beast from another plane, one whom Loki claims threatens the lives of every mortal. But there is more to this creature than meets the eye. Can the gaze of a Valkyrie reveal the secrets behind the wolf and his unearthly origin?

But Why Tho? - Charles Hartford

    May 19, 2021

Bringing it all together, The Mighty Valkyries #2 continues to flesh out its story as it guides its dual protagonists forward. My biggest curiosity here lies in how these two distinctly different tales are going to come to tie together. Hopefully, this creative team won't let the Valkyries down. Read Full Review

This might become an issue I'll enjoy more in retrospect once I see how this series plays out, but for now, it feels like a purely transitional chapter. Read Full Review

This issue picks up where the previous ended, after a bit of history that tells part of the story of who the new character More is. I love this character already and the interplay with Jane. Ends on a bit of a cliffhanger be warned!!

Art is quite good. Interesting. Fun. Does writer doesn't thought any other name than "MORE"? Naming seems lazy. WTH. More is wierd name.

This was a good issue, but I'm still not clear on what the story is yet.

I think this series is gonna read better in trades. From love of the specific characters and creators involved, I have faith that all these disparate scenes are going to add up to a coherent story -- but now I recognize that the comic itself can and should do more to encourage such faith.

Again the narrative overall suffers from the second story and art sticking out of left field here. Weird?? If Mattia de Lulis wasn't on art I wouldn't even think of continuing with this odd book. The guy is so good with his layers and lighting. A beautifully unique style.

The artwork is still great. But the story was a rather confusing.

Kraven is a nice wild card thrown into the mix to shake things up. The subplots are not incorporated very smoothly into the rest of the narrative.

It was alright. The Jane story has amazing art and is better than the other story. Not much else to say. Its just ok.

The thing is this isn't a bad comic, but I never look forward to reading it and I always put it near the beginning of my reading order, which I feel is telling me something.
