Guess whose late to the party? You!... unless you’ve been reading Thanos for the past year because it’s been the best book out for months now. I’m sorry your just figuring this out now with the last issue... the annual... but you know what; get the trades. You won’t be disappointed.
Now, this annual is a bit different than most.. yet also kind of the same. You see; most annuals have stories that don’t tie into the main story. They’re just a side story, or stories, about the character but they don’t need to be read to continue through the book. Well,
Thanos is done! So, this was it! However, this story is told by the Cosmic Ghost Rider..... kind of as a prelude to his own title!
We find out that throughout the many stories of Thanos, that the Cosmic Ghost Rider is in fact dead and standing around talking to us. But by the end of the story, we find out that he was actually talking to Odin the entire time at the gates of Valhalla and Odin is welcoming him in as the story ends.
It’s going to be continued in Cosmic Ghost Rider number 1, which is going to be like a spin off. Let’s see if I can prepare you for your SAT: Cosmic Ghost Rider is to the TV Show Angel as Thanos is to..... if you said Buffy, you are totally right!
Throughout the annual, the stories of Thanos were just funny stories for the most part with some dark twists. They were all honestly pretty good. None of them tie together other than the fact that Thanos is basically an evil bag of goat testicles, but we all knew that anyway.
But, we had some killer art, even some amazing little kid cartoon art, as well as hilarious morbid stories about wishing people happy birthdays every year of their life and helping old women cross streets to ruin the future of the world... all for his love of death. Pick i more

Pretty entertaining stuff. It's not needed but it sure did put a smile on my face, make me laugh or freaked me out by the darkness of it. Very good mix of stories with matching sets of artists. You don't need to buy it but the Cosmic Ghost Rider should be on your list.

A thoroughly impressive anthology of Thanos stories. It neatly splits the difference between black humor and existential dread. While not every strip in here is all-time great, they are all well above average. And some of them ARE all-time great. The combination sets this firmly above most of Marvel's other recent Annuals, and it delivers a superb capstone to top off the Thanos series.

I really enjoyed this Thanos annual. Obviously a little biased as Cates is my favorite writer I really enjoyed his story and Shaw's excellent art! Also the lead up to Cosmic Ghost Rider is gonna be great and also looking forward to his upcoming Venom run.

This was a lot of fun! All of the stories clicked for me except the kid-Thanos cute thing, which I had to quit reading and skip, because I was not feeling it. The other stories are all quiet little tales of Thanos' destruction of entire worlds and individual lives, bound together by narration from Cosmic Ghost Rider. Marvel has long served up lame, inconsequential, and bland annuals--this, while not earth-shaking, was a great read, and not some superfluous junk they just needed to publish. Highly recommended!

An entertaining read for sure. Multiple stories make up this book, like most annuals. Most of them are pretty entertaining and show how messed up Thanos can be. The only thing I didn't really get but found funny at the same time was the whole birthday haunting of that guy. I initially hated that story, but after I read everything I found it pretty humorous. Overall, a pretty cool book for Thanos fans.

Thank god this annual wasnt completely pointless. Midway through reading this, i thought i was just wasting my time, but then no, this book actually sets up something. That alone was worth the read.
This annual contains SIX independent stories and Cosmic Ghost Rider narrates those stories.
STORY #1
Probably my favourite of them all. Written by Donny Cates and art by Geoff Shaw. I loved the twist in this story. The art by Geoff Shaw is neat as well but the colours by Antonio Fabela felt rushed at some panels.
STORY #2
By Chris Hastings. Its ok. I really hope this story isnt canon. I mean Thanos texting using a smartphone and wearing an apron? Yikes! Its a typical Hastings story. The art by Flaviano is a generic goofy art. Fede
rico Blee's colours too werent oustanding but it does its job. Overall its a fun story.
STORY #3
By Kieron Gillen. Probably my second favourite. It explored some cool and unique new worlds that i wish we could see more off in the future. The art by Andre Araujo is good but the colours by Chris O'Halloran is very very good.
STORY #4
By Katie Cook. Its a fun and a cute little story. I also wish this isnt canon but i still really liked it. I really liked the cartoony art as well which i think is by Heather Breckle. Not sure who did the colours but it fit the cartoony and the Skottie Young-type art.
STORY #5
By Ryan North. Its ok too. I liked this one too but this is also another story that i wish is not canon. Thanos coming down to Earth to help an old lady to cross a road infront of the public?? Oh Boy... The art by Will Robson and colours by Rachelle Rosenberg are ok, nothing great.
STORY #6
By Al Ewing. Another fun little story. The art by Frazer Irving and the colours were very good until at one point where it got creepy. The way those alien species express their feelings without moving their faces was freaking creepy.
Overall, SIX fun little one shot stories. Two to three of them were memorable to me but the rest were passable. The art was good throughout. The only art i disliked was the one done by Flaviano. All the arts fit the tone of their respective stories pretty well. At the last page of this book, it sets up a series. Cant wait for that.

It was a typical Marvel Annual really with a bunch of inconsequential stories, most of which were boring if I’m brutally honest. I only bought this comic because I enjoyed Donny Cates’ run on Thanos, but this just served as a disappointment, especially since Cates only wrote one short story within the book. As for the art it was mixed,some of the art was really good (Geoff Shaw) some of it really sucked. I don’t recommend this book as it’s certainly not worth $4.99 and if you’re looking for a good Thanos story you could definitely one elsewhere with more value for money
