Overall, Superior Spider-Man continues to take Otto/Elliot down a path to becoming a true blue hero, if he could just match his words to his intentions more often. Honestly isn't that a problem we all could relate to in some way? This issue does a good job of pacing action, with fun, while hitting a few emotional notes, that by the end that feel pretty earned, revealing the heart behind our once hardened villain. It's a standard bad guy gone good story sure, but one with a deserving cast of characters, and intriguing style so far. Read Full Review

Just shows how much Otto has evolved since his start as the Superior Spider-Man. Without having to worry about Peter coming back it really now feels like a new character has join the Marvel universe. And as shown in the last page of this issue, Otto isn’t going against easy foes anytime soon. One thing that isn’t mentioned much is the humor, it’s pretty good and doesn’t feel force even with a character such as Octavius.

Great issue. Otto is written well by Gage who has a nice supporting cast for him to play off especially Anna Maria. Had me almost shedding a tear for Doc Ock of all people...that's growth through writing right there. Outstanding pencils by HAWTHORNE.....the guy is amazing in his clean details and angles that make all of the emotional moments hit right and deliver with his facial expressions and movements. Hawthorne is unique and is blessing to look at his wonderful work. He's also lucky to have Von Grawbadger perfectly inking his pencils and Jordie Bellaire coloring to make it pop!!

Really enjoying this issue! Artwork was pretty good and great dialogue. Can see them setting up for the future with some of the issue.

Ive grown to really like this book. It doesnt take itself too serious and is just a really fun look at the superior spiderman. I love hawthorne as the artist and this book just is a lot of fun.

Anna Maria pushes SpOck into helping with rescue work after his big battle. It creates tremendous characterization opportunities. A clever idea on the part of both Anna Maria and the author. Some quietly brilliant art helps it all along - I could stand to see some brighter colors, though.
