Comics: The Gathering - Nick Devonald
Mar 25, 2020This issue doesn’t quite live up to the epic conclusion of this arc that many will be expecting. It plays it a lot safer in terms of the storytelling and the art, which is disappointing as it had been regularly pushing the envelope out on both until now. Not bad by any stretch, just not reaching the same quality previous issues have. The future of this comic looks great however and I’ll still be recommending it as a whole. Read Full Review

Mar 30, 2020Oh, it's on! Big Mother is enraged that Scream wasn't destroyed and Andi was almost killed by the separation, almost! It seems that the whole NYPD and the FBI are after Andi Benton, who just wants to go home and sleep. Andi accepts a familial bond with Scream that allows them to defeat Mother. It's a rock-solid plot and theme, but the repetitive way we got to the climax detracts from its satisfaction. Storytelling is generally sound, with the script outdoing the art at its best moments. This series hasn't turned me into a Scream/Andi Benton fan -- but it's opened a door to that that wasn't open before.
