Savage Avengers #2

While Savage Avengers may have been made to show off Conan, and while this arc takes place in his time, this is a team book through and through. While Conan remains a force in both the series and story-line, Daredevil showing off her leadership skills here make this arc and series feel way different then just a "Conan Team-up Book" if Conan eventually leaves the series (but please no), this has full potential to end up an Avengers mainstream title! Everything in Savage Avengers #2 is about fun and ridiculous concepts, from Devil Dinosaur to cyborgs in a fantasy world. But there are parts in which the comic grounds itself as Pepose shows the depth of the stories these characters can tell. Read Full Review

Ok, yea this series is awesome. Not stop action, solid chatacter work, absolutely phenomenal art backed by epic ancient prose befitting of the Barbarian? I have almost no complaints. This is one of those issues you really feel you get your money worth out of. Theres a lot of content in these pages, and they manage to craft some phenomenal action with it. Highly recommended, and I didnt even read the last run.

It's a little more wordy than it needs to be but, I did like this issue better than the first. It'd got good action, good art, and some pretty good storytelling.
