  Queen in Black: Venom Unchained offers a unique glimpse into Eddie Brock’s world. It helps you feel how lost Eddie feels at this moment in life, stuck, unable to know where he goes from here, and struggling to understand how he can help. You feel the brief hit of joy that Eddie gets once an opportunity presents itself, only to have it snuffed out. This is a great start to this story, and I’m anxious to see how it feeds into the larger Queen in Black story. Read Full Review

  Queen in Black: Venom Unchained #1 strips Eddie Brock down to his lowest point, resulting in a compelling character-focused tie-in that sets the stage for his next evolution. Charles Soule spends less time on superhero spectacle and more on Eddie's isolation, resilience, and refusal to give up. The action is sparse, but the emotional payoff and promising cliffhanger make this an encouraging start. Read Full Review
