Plot Joe Garrison confronts the Jigsaw organization when the latter attacks a peace meeting between two countries Symkaria and Bagalia using Fearmaster's gas. Joe confronts the agitated and angry diplomats thanks to Fearmaster's gas, for which he uses some cool electric nunchucks. Meanwhile Triple A is kidnapped by the Jigsaw agents and her order is to kill her and Joe appears, which happens but no one has the help of officer Paul Linus, who is now going to serve as Joe's support for his new objectives. . This comic closes the first arc where Joe accepts that he is the Punisher and that Jigsaw is a powerful organization that he must stop. Pepose makes clear the rules of this new Punisher as well as the team that will help him i n his mission of justice. Art It has many textures and details that offer a gloomy and dramatic tone in a context of extreme violence and blood. Summary Joe accepts his fate and new identity as he recruits a team to stop the Jigsaw organization and avenge his family. more

This issue is a definite step up from the last. Here, Definitely-Not-Castle kills people in mostly straightforward ways with good art and one-liners pulled from any 90s action movie, which I have to assume is what readers want from a Punisher comic. Unfortunately, the people getting killed are all one-dimensional, generic evil goons for a painfully standard evil organization that we have no reason to care about. The main character's motivations are also still on shaky ground due to it all being an underwritten speedrun of the Castle origin story. It is truly bizarre to see Marvel in 2024 double down and play straight with "Lost your loved ones? Struggling to cope? Try murder!"

A rather dull ending to a book that didn't need to exist. All because Marvel doesn't like the fact that law enforcement and the military have adopted the Punisher logo. The book has been canceled, so I guess they got their answer -- the Punisher cannot exist without Frank Castle. Joe's family was killed because of his wife and they really don't delve into that at all. He never questioned if he knew his wife as well as he thought he did. All of the internal conflict is just eliminated for cheap action that makes no sense. If it was a diplomatic gathering he never would have been able to crash through the window. Not to mention that he didn't care about the people getting showered with glass. Then he and Jigsaw fell out of a window at least 4 stories high and just landed without a scratch.
