If you like to see heroes fighting heroes, you'll enjoy this book. MacKay and Creees add a nice additional layer of creativity as we get to see different looks and interpretations of both heroes in the process. That said, this event continues to be paper thin as we wait for answers and a reason to care about Agatha's plans. Read Full Review

Jed MacKay manages to write a character he's worked on for years and a character he created very well. Who could've guessed? It's still light on story because it's just action figures being smashed together, but it's uplifted by MacKay's ability.

I hope the other writers in this event (particularly Steve Orlando) are taking notes. THIS is how you do a mysterious hero-vs-hero crossover event. It looks and sounds good, it's got a healthy dose of comic relief, there's imagination in the specifics of the hero fight, and most importantly: It gives us A HINT about WTF IS GOING ON in this event. It teases and tempts by sharing some intriguing details without revealing the whole scheme. Maybe Mr. Orlando planned all along to hold the first details of the Contest back until a month and four issues had gone by. I hope that's not the case, because that would be a bone-headedly stupid plan. Snark for the B strip: This event uses "chaos" the way bad science fiction uses "quantum."

this was easily the best part of this event. It was entertaining, and had good serviceable art. Of course its from Jed Mackay, who is one of the best upcoming new writers out here. I like seeing how the heroes resolve their differences in this issue
