This is shaping up to be one of the best Fantastic Four titles not starring the regular roster. Similar to Fraction & Allred's FF run, it's a fresh examination at how important the "First Family" is. This might actually be my favorite issue thus far for the series. I'm VERY impressed with how this is going so far. I'm liking the writing too. I'm torn because I really REALLY want for the 4 to be reunited but I'm enjoying just Torch and Thing working together. I am really enjoying Marvel Two-in-One. It has turned into a delightful little series. Zdarsky balances his silliness with the more serious aspects of the story and Schiti and Martin deliver some beautiful art. With the setup out of the way and the team finally exploring the multiverse, exciting things start to happen in Marvel Two-in-One #4. Marvel Two-in-One #4 shows the book getting into universe-hopping groove that its been promising since the first issue. It has some heavier moments, but there is enough fun to balance that out. The art is solid, the characters are largely enjoyable, and the book gets a recommendation. Give it a read. Read Full Review

Welcome to the Oblivion Bar where the first round is on me and the pretzels are free! Be warned: like the pickled eggs at the bar, this issue is going to get SPOILED rotten. This book should be on everyone’s pull. It’s still early in its run so you could easily catch up if you’re reading this on the fly. It gives me hints of Hickman’s FF run, which is probably my favorite run of comics.... honestly... and FF aren’t even my favorite comic characters! To summarize all issues to this point, Reed and Sue are still out making universes with Molecule man ( I’m guessing) and Johnny and Ben are basically lost without them. But we find out that they are not only depressed, their powers are fading without being around Reed and Sue. They’re all cosmically connected. Reed sent a saved recorded message to Ben sending him to find the multisect, which is a tool used to jump to other multiverses. Ben believes Reed and Sue are dead and lies to Johnny to give him hope that they are still out in a multiverse somewhere and that they need to find them. A lie that I foresee will destroy Johnny at some point. With the help of a super smart science-wiz who makes money off bringing back super powers named Rachna, she decides to help them if she can come with them. We assume she has another motive. They land on a multiverse with a Wolverine that’s dating a She-Hulk, a Reed That’s only about his work to save the planet from a Doom that’s actually Galactus now, and who knows the rest! This comic is fun, exciting, creative, inventive, appears to have guest cameos, and fantastic art. Who knows if this will lead to Reed and Sue right away but I think you’ll enjoy the ride along the way. Pick it up and put it on your pull. Yes me too I trusted I was out of this. But when I didn't expect it anymore, I have the kind of story I waited from MTIO from issue 1. And with a little something of the exiles taste ^^ ... Welcome to a parallel dimension where I liked the title. At least we have some fun, some adventure & yes some tearful moments. Cover - 2/2 They cannot do a better cover for this one. Writing - At last some FF adventure, Zdarsky take is damn time. 3/3 Arts - After a second month without Chung, I'm more in Schiti art than for the previous issue. 3/3 Feeling - Did they keep me unboard. At least I will try issue 5. 1/2

Every single issue of this book is even better that the previous one. It's fantastic. Not only the story is incredibly fun and interesting, the characterization is great and it definitely works very well on emotional level. And the two huge twists in this issue were just outstanding. I missed the Fantastic Four so much, and this book finally gave it back to me.

Wow! This is a really fantastic book! I'm late to the game reading this, having had issues 2-present in a pile waiting till I got no.1. So now I can't stop reading this title...it's amazing how Chip Zdarsky has 2 of Marvel's top books right now to his credit (this and "Peter Parker the Spectacular Spider-Man"), and what strikes me about both is how natural a rapport Zdarsky has with the characters...all of the voices really ring true...this truly captures the vibe of "Legacy" with an amazing story crossing realities to solve a mystery that has hung over the Marvel universe for a couple of years. Also, Valerio Schiti's art is crazy good here--I've liked his work a lot in the past, but this issue is some next level stuff. Great, great book!

Johnny and Ben finally tee up to a delightfully interesting AU, but before they get there, Rachna really pegs out the awful-person-o-meter by insulting Spidey. It's like they always say, a super-scientist who is nice to you but mean to Spider-Man is not a nice person - but then, Rachna's not nice to ANYBODY. I appreciate the way this title gives each issue a firm focus. The concentrated themes allow for significant depth and there's plenty of strong characterization to weld the episodes into a coherent whole. Plus the art has been pretty stellar throughout.

Art: Wonderful. Fun: Most all of the humor comments. Interesting: Rachna is 'obviously' going off to try'n help 'Dee'. Adventure: Sure, it's just eXiles Reimagined and should've been a one-shot but it was still pretty good twists on the Classic FF48-50. Nitpick: How the heck did Torch survive that snikt?

Another good issue of Marvel 2 in 1. Chip Zdarsky is proving more and more to the fans that he is the perfect writer for a Fantastic Four book. Hope if there is a Fantastic Four 'Fresh Start' announcement, Chip Zdarsky's name is attached to it. The art though was good, not great but good. But the colouring, let me down. The colours could have been done better. Especially for a cosmic being's special appearance. That cosmic being was coloured better and looked awesome in Thanos #16. Also, please to any MARVEL artists. What is it with this boy haircut for this women superheroes. If they naturally grew with that hair style, then its fine. But changing a womens hair which previously was long, to short and boy haircut-like hair is just pur e nonsense. Women superheroes with short hair are not cool-looking, beautiful, bad-ass or awesome as you guys might want us to think. They look horrible! There is no need to draw them with short hair. You guys are only making them look worst. Like in this issue for instance, leaving She-Hulk with long hair isnt going to destory the world u know! She along with Captain Marvel are not cool-looking and no one asked for a women superhero with boy haircut! No one! There is no benefit of changing the character's hair like that! NO BENEFIT AT ALL!!! GODDD!!! more

Hey Buddy, ya know who I am? Yeah you're the #$!#@$ that wrecked my car nine years ago!! That had me laughing(and nothing makes you feel more like the 40 yr old virgin than laughing out loud at superhero comics!) Really fun issue. After the 1st two issues I was disappointed to see Jim Cheung leave the book, but Valerio Schiti's art is so great for this comic. Loved the multiverse cameos of She-Hulk and Wolverine, great character designs for everyone in this book including GalacDoom (Doomactus?) My only gripe with this book is Rachna, she craps all over Spider-Man and doesn't seem to care about Johnny or Ben. At this point i'm just not all that interested in her and what looks like some Mr. Freeze esque setup of her trying to save her love by all means necessary. As everyone says if you're looking for a Fantastic Four book this is it! more
