I didn't even get to address the surprise visitor or what looks like the first real conflict that Riri will face, but let's just say that this book could be going in some really exciting directions. Riri does face her first big Marvel villain, though that is yet to actually happen till the next issue. Regardless, Invincible Iron Man #3 made some big moves. The rookie-replacing-the-veteran-hero angle is something we've seen quite a lot of in the past few years. With that said, by injecting Riri into Tony's life, Bendis and Caselli have truly managed to make Iron Man fresh again. All in all, this is issue succeeds in imparting character to the women of its cast, and the fact that all of the main characters ARE women works to the story's advantage, but like so many Bendis stories, the plot gets sidetracked by long sequences of dialogue. Invincible Iron Man #3 is still a very likeable issue though, and the art is first-rate from cover to cover, with promises of an interesting conflict next time around. Read Full Review

Overall, I like Riri and her place in Iron Man’s world. It forces me to wrestle with my personal preferences about Marvel’s editorial edicts, but it’s funny, touching, entertaining and continues Tony Stark’s story even if it doesn’t seem like it at first. Read Full Review

We once again get more of the same from this book and it'sfrustrating. These last three issues have been a result of Bendis not properlyintroducing this character prior to this moment. We know this character's barebones now though and we can finally start diving into an actual story and thecliffhanger gives me some hope on that front. I'm begging this book to pick upat this point. As much as I enjoy Bendis dialogue (and I know not everybody does), he still hasn't sold me on why Ironheart is worth following. Marvel invents and reinvents a million new superheroes a day. Ironheart as a character, and Invincible Iron Man as a comic, need some better reasons for why I should care. I think this whole thing is being held together by pure curiosity and amazing art. Invincible Iron Man is OFFICIAL! Issue#1 did 97,713 while Issue #2 did 81,271 which is only a( -16.8) drop. Which is excellent compared to the dropoff for other comics #2 issue. After reading #3, I'm hooked. Count this on my pull list ASAP. It just keeps getting better because it is fresh, diverse and different. At first I was skeptical of Hologram Tony but I knew Marvel somehow had to keep him in the picture . The FE-Male exchange between Tony and Riri was great dialouge. In addition, the appearances by Pepper Potts , Mary Jane, Friday, and Tony's mom Amanda killed it too. Plus The Techno Golems are here!! Bendis heard the boo birds for Civil War2 and has come out swinging in 2017

I know it's fashionable to hate on Bendis right now, and it's true that "Civil War II" was an unmitigated disaster, but I was genuinely charmed by this issue. Bendis dialogue and characterization are on; I enjoyed Riri's interaction with AI Tony and Pepper. Also, Stefano Caselli is a damn fine artist. His "acting," the facial expressions of the characters, is dead on, and the montage of Ironheart fighting various villains while arguing with (again) AI Tony looked great. Pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this issue.

This is finally going somewhere. I love the mix of old and new characters. It's great to see international Iron Man is in play with this and that Pepper, Mary Jane and Friday are still an integral part of this story line. Caselli and Gracia do a great job on art too. I love that you can tell iron man is now a woman in the armor.
