• The whole world loves Riri Williams, Ironheart! Well, that is, except for those people who have a bone to pick with how she's doing the job. Oh, and the new villain who'd like to take a piece out of her.
•  You know, come to think of it, a whole lot of people aren't that fond of Riri Williams at the moment. What's a girl to do?

If you have loved Riri this point, then this point of her hero's quest will only strengthen that. Outside of a few inconsistencies with the art, this is another strong issue of building up a hero with some serious staying power. Read Full Review

I think having Ri Ri as the smartest person in the Marvel Universe was a pretty good decision. As long as Brian Micheal Bendis continues to develop the character I think she will be just fine. 4 out of 5 stars! Read Full Review

It's the same story with both Iron Man books right now - great characterization, top-notch visuals and an agonizingly slow pace. Even seven issues in, it feels like this series has barely gotten started with establishing Riri Williams' role in the Marvel Universe. Read Full Review

Every panel was a victory. Bendis' excels at the getting to know stage of a character.

Finally, not everything is going to be a W for Iron Man. Bendis is just adding and adding great content for Riri that i just get immersed in this series. The art of Caselli and Garcia isn't anthing to sneeze at either.

I really have enjoyed this series so far. Yes, it is slow paced and yes, it has little to no action but, this is a great intro to RiRi so far. From her relationship with her mom to the Tony Stark A.I. this series is a lot of fun .

Riri experiences a loss, struggles with the admiration of AI Tony, and the Latverian crisis comes closer to boiling over. On the one hand, the "welcome to trade paperback #2" feeling in this issue is almost palpable. On the other hand, it's a textbook-good example of how to do a reintroduction issue. The key plotlines to address in future issues are queued up nicely, and SHIELD espionage is used to great effect to drop good character info on top of some "day in the life" scenes of Riri. Stefano Caselli's art is a pleasure as always, and this feels through and through like a premium top-shelf comic. If you were ignoring Invincible up till now, this would make a splendid "jump on board" point.

So much nothing, but I'm glad it's not cutesy and what "young" books are like everywhere else.
