Infamous Iron Man #11 is a great read. This is a deep dive character analysis of one of the most iconic villains in comic book history and Bendis, Maleev and Hollingsworth are pulling out all the stops. INFAMOUS IRON MAN #11 builds on past issues, as Victor Von Doom and Dr. Strange hold astral therapy. Brian Michael Bendis builds on character while bringing revelations to the dark Reed Richards. Alex Maleev's art switches from gritty gunfights to astral planes with ease. A strong issue that sets up even better ones. Read Full Review

The latest issue of the series also provides an appearance from Doctor Strange who helps Doom work through his problems. While I doubt Marvel will allow Doom's heroic journey continue much farther, Strange would make for an interesting companion who, perhaps alone in the Marvel Universe, understands the mysticism surrounding Doctor Doom. I hope he's every bit as good as he thinks he is because this Iron Man will need all that and more to defeat his true enemy revealed at last. Worth a look. Read Full Review

It's strange to think that this series is ending with next month's issue #12, because it barely feels as though Brian Bendis and Alex Maleev have accomplished anything with Victor Von Doom over the past year. Read Full Review

When you break it all down, this is a pretty okay issue with some fundamental flaws in how the creator approaches one of the main characters, but it's really Doom's book, and seeing Reed and Ben in antagonistic roles here is honestly kind of fun. Infamous Iron Man #11 is well-drawn and has some clever bits of dialogue in it, and the final reveal is effective. Read Full Review

That being said, I cant recommend Infamous Iron Man #11. It feels like a time sink of a comic wherein Bendis has surrendered to a stereotype of himself. Hes better than this, and there are far better comics to read out there. Give this a pass. Read Full Review

Because of the slow pace of this series, it is easy to criticize it for what it doesn't do rather than celebrate it for the things it did. While the tendency to ask for more action and plot movement is there, this series has been endlessly fascinating as a study of Doom's character and his relation to the rest of the Marvel universe. Bendis accompanies this great characterization with interesting dialogue, and when paired with Maleev's exemplary pencils, this series has been one of my favourites over the course of its run. With only one issue left, I am sad that it is over; surely this is the test of a fine series.

Infamous #11 I thought was a solid addition to this series. It is really just a shame that this will end next issue when we are just getting started with the major plot point. This was one of the slowest moving comics and if it wasn't for the amazing dialogue, amazing art and Victor's awesome demeanor throughout the whole series, this would be an average comic. I really can't wait to see how this ends.

Doom's surrendered himself to SHIELD, and here comes Dr. Strange. But then Brian Michael Bendis upsets the whole apple cart with a monster twist that sure doesn't lack for ambition. The finale will have to be *exceptional* to make this revelation fit with previous issues in a satisfying, "not a cop-out" way, though. Alex Maleev's art is especially impressive this time around, and I'm starting to suspect he would have been a significantly better fit throughout if this was a straight "Dr. Doom" title instead of a DoomStark hybrid. The guy can draw the ☠☠☠☠ outta magic is what I'm saying.

Up to this point, Infamous Iron Man has been one of the more consistent books at Marvel. There's been a lot of lead up in the previous 10 issues of this series, and we finally get a payoff at the end of this one. However, the final reveal seems both random and out of place. So much so, that without an outstanding final issue save, brings the series toppling down as a whole.
