This was too strange for a Hulk story... But however, he's green now. And also Rick and Bruce figured out how to contain Hulk at night! But I still think, that Ross and others are stupid dumbasses... They couldn't understand why Rick calls himself the Hulk's friend and then always walking around Bruce... And the villains of this issue again not what you prefer to be. These aliens... Yeah, it's typical for Marvel of that time and they also fought him in the future many times. But that does not feel iconic. Not even a little bit... And that invasion was too big. Why the Fantastic Four didn't appear or do something? Hm, maybe they did, but I just didn't read their comic. However, Bruce too easily stopped the invasion. Again, poor nai ve writing. But overall, it was a good comic. Boring sometimes, but mostly entertaining. more

The Toad Men invade Earth after General Ross has their scout ship shot down. It isn't the Hulk who ends up saving the Earth but Banner. (Cover date: July, 1962)
